Which episode does Luffy Gear 3 use The Epic Reveal

One Piece

When One Piece was still in the early episodes, it was interesting to see how Luffy evolved into the character he is today. Then we understood how he developed his fighting style and techniques in different gears. From Gear 2, it looks like Luffy has found ways to increase his fighting abilities exponentially. So we will also look at which episode Luffy uses gear 3 in One Piece anime.

We know that moments like these usually come in difficult situations. Because it’s when Luffy has noticed that he has reached his limits, and then he must find new ways to be even more powerful. Because Luffy understood from the start that he would face very tough opponents, and he had to find ways to defeat them as a pirate striving to become the Pirate King.

His goal is to go against all Yonkou, who he believes will make him the king of the pirates. Unbeknownst to him, a confrontation with the Yonkou would lead him to the road-poneglypths, which will eventually lead him to the One Piece and make him the Pirate King.

As the story nears its final days, we already know how powerful Luffy is, and he has been recognized as one of the Yonkou, which brings him one step closer to his dream. If we look back at the time when Luffy used gear 3, we will remember that this was one of the most iconic moments of his time. If you want to watch those moments again, we’re looking at the very first time this happened.

We’ll also take a quick look at what Luffy Gear 3 is all about and what kind of improvements it brings to its fighting styles.

Which episode does Luffy Gear 3 use?

Luffy used gear 3 in One Piece episode 288 when he was on his way to help Robin. But he encountered difficulties along the way. What was interesting was that Luffy used gear 3 for the first time, not in combat. Because while he was on his way, he came across steel doors, and without the keys he had to find ways to get through.

So he decided to try his newfound powers, but for a short period of time. So Luffy uses gear 3 to break down the steel doors with tremendous force, and that’s when I first got to see this technique in the anime. But at this point we didn’t get to see his full appearance in gear 3, so we only saw his silhouette.

But after that we saw the downside of using this attack. Luffy appeared in a shrunken format, meaning that while it was powerful, it wasn’t an attack that he could use repeatedly in battle. This has been the norm during Luffy’s development. And eventually he would find ways to nullify those weaknesses as the enemies he encounters get stronger and stronger every time.

The steel door Luffy broke turned out to be so powerful that even Lucci, who is a CP0 agent, believed the only way through was a key. Luffy’s action then caught Lucci’s attention as their fight continued to build. This takes place as Luffy tries to make sure he catches up with Robin before she gets to the gates of Justice. So it didn’t take long for Luffy to recover from his attack and return to normal, which made his pursuit easier.

Luffy’s Gear 3

Luffy’s gear 3 turned out to be too powerful, but it also had drawbacks. Every time Luffy gains a new power, it has a very bad disadvantage. So the one he had with the tie that he learns was gear 3 that ended up shrinking after use. And we’ve seen this consistent throughout Luffy’s development. But eventually he would find ways to deal with such disadvantages, and this continues until he takes the next step in his powers and development.
